Summer school provides the time to thoroughly focus on both the design aspect and practical skills of indigo dyeing specifically for shibori and shibori methods without interruption. Beginners, wanting to enjoy learning a new skill at their own pace in a relaxed and informal setting have the option of using the samples they produce for any number of items and projects on returning home. For the more experienced, it is an ideal opportunity to refine skills, study a specific technique, or sample and begin a major project.
