Artipelag, the new gallery and arts venue in Sweden (20 minutes drive from Stockholm), is featuring the work of designer
Jurgen Lehl, who was based in Tokyo, Japan for over 40 years until his untimely death in 2014. Jurgen Lehl was an inspiration to Yoshiko Wada and the community of World Shibori Network, using sustainable design and innovative recycled materials.
The exhibition shows lamps created by Jurgen Lehl using plastic waste that drifted onto the shores of beaches in Okinawa, along with work by other artists and designers.
For those living near and in Stockholm, we encourage you to go see the exhibition, and enjoy the surrounding natural area of the archipelago on which them museum sits.
