This trip reveals the region’s diverse and rich Monozukuri (Making) traditions: ancient bast fiber weaving, wild vine basket-making, shifu-paper yarn weaving, Sashiko, sericulture and silk reeling, natural dye practices, woodcarving, and more. Travelers will have the opportunity to participate in eight hands-on workshops with Masters.
We sample delicious regional dishes, visit gardens, temples, and an ancient hot spring for a sense of Place to complete our story. JOIN US for this unique workshop tour!
