Yoshiko I. Wada is the Guest Curator for International Quilt Museum’s (IQM) current exhibition, Boro: The Hidden and the Visible in Japanese Mended Textiles. She has been pleased by the IQM team’s approach and support.
In this conversation, Yoshiko Wada and Mr. Camilo Sanchez, the IQM’s Curator of Exhibitions, revisit their behind-the-scenes conversations that led to the WHY and HOW–the strategies–behind presenting the Boro objects and to designing the exhibition.
We invite you to join Yoshiko Wada and Camilo Sanchez at IQM. They are joined by the Shibori-Indigo artists who dyed display sleeves. The artists will share their artwork and how they incorporate indigo dyeing into their practice.
