The Kochi-Muziris Biennale in Old Fort Kochi
We lead you on a journey across West and South India’s diverse cultural and environmental landscape to immerse in the region’s rich craft traditions. The materials, methods, and products vary influenced by historical knowledge, climate, as well as by what the natural landscape offers for materials.
We visit artisans, villages, cities, museums, and more to engage with textiles–Indian embroidery and block printing, cotton–, paper-making, metal work, and more. Dive deep into India’s rich craft heritage shaped by the Indus Valley’s historical context as one of six cradles of civilization originating around 3300 BCE.
The tour includes five workshops and is limited to 18 participants to keep the experience intimate.
All accommodations, transportation, and most meals are included.
